Constipation
If you have less than three bowel movements in a given week, you are experiencing issues with constipation. Chronic constipation is described as infrequent bowel movements, or difficultly with the passage of stools, lasting multiple weeks or longer.
What are the symptoms?
Having fewer than three stools per week, hard or lumpy stools, straining to produce bowel movements, the feeling that your rectum is being blocked, the feeling that you are unable to empty the stool from your rectum, or the feeling that you need help emptying your rectum.
If you’ve experienced two or more of these symptoms over a three month period, you are suffering from a chronic form.
