Acid reflux is a disease that occurs when stomach acid and/or bile enters the esophagus and irritates the lining.

What are the symptoms of Acid Reflux / (GERD)?

The resulting symptoms include a burning sensation in the chest, usually after the consumption of food.

If you experience acid reflux multiple times a week, or if the pain interferes with your daily routine, you may be suffering from Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). GERD is diagnosed when damage to the esophagus is found.
