Back Pain
Most people experience back pain, as it is one of the most common reasons for a doctor’s visit.
What are the symptoms?
Shooting or piercing aches and pains in the back muscles. This pain may also radiate down the legs, and can limit the flexibility and motion of the back.
What are the treatments for back pain?
Most back pain will improve after a couple of weeks of self-care and over-the-counter treatments.* If the pain persists beyond that point, schedule an appointment with your doctor. You should also seek immediate professional help if your pain causes other symptoms, or if your pain is the result of a fall or blow to your back.* Surgery is a rare treatment, but it may be necessary in some cases.*
* Individual results may vary.
