Anemia

Anemia is the result of the body’s deficiency in red blood cells. This can be caused by the following: your body is destroying red blood cells, your body isn’t making enough red blood cells, or due to blood loss, your body cannot keep up with the amount of red blood cells that it is losing.

There are several types of anemia that can also be caused by iron deficiencies, vitamin deficiencies, as well as sickle cell, which is inherited.

What are the symptoms?

Fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, pale or yellowish skin, irregular heartbeats, lightheadedness or dizziness, headache, chest pain, cold feet and hands.
