Anemia
Anemia is the result of the body’s deficiency in red blood cells. This can be caused by the following: your body is destroying red blood cells, your body isn’t making enough red blood cells, or due to blood loss, your body cannot keep up with the amount of red blood cells that it is losing.
There are several types of anemia that can also be caused by iron deficiencies, vitamin deficiencies, as well as sickle cell, which is inherited.
What are the symptoms?
Fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, pale or yellowish skin, irregular heartbeats, lightheadedness or dizziness, headache, chest pain, cold feet and hands.

If you are feeling fatigued for unexplained reasons, schedule an appointment with your doctor to discuss this condition.* The longer it goes untreated, the worse the symptoms will be. Do not assume that you have anemia because you are feeling tired, as fatigue has many causes.
